Welcome
Parvo is horrible. Period. But there is help.
The vaccination schedule has changed due to a new parvo strain that has come out in dogs. The vaccination of puppies should begin at 5 wks of age.

There is a product out there that will help your pup/dog with parvo.  Tamiflu. Just type in tamiflu and parvo in google and READ. If you know someone who has a puppy/dog that is coming down with parvo, take the info off of the Internet  to the vet and ask the vet about tamiflu and parvo. Tamiflu saves puppies lives if caught in time.

New Update

I talked with a couple of vets about using tamiflu on puppies and they told me that there was not enough clinical studies on tamiflu that shows the effectiveness to use it on puppies. Well, ok, I am all about studies. But here is my thoughts. Parvo Kills. Period. If there is something out there that even helps a little bit then by all means I'm going to use it. In fact, I used it 2 yrs ago and it worked fine for me. The pups did good. So think about it, research it on google, talk to your vet about it, and make up your own mind as I did.

For all those home breeders, hobby breeders, or if you are brave enough to call your self a kennel, or even if you have one litter of pups a year, bleach is outdated. Bleach only kills the parvo virus on CLEAN NON POROUS SURFACES. Also if you will notice on the label and after doing some research, most products that you mix up with water are only good for a few hours.
I found a product that kills viruses even in organic matter. Tek Trol. Turkey/chicken growers use this product to kill viruses off of equipment they use around their farm. I bought and used it around my house and yard. I have not had a return of parvo. I sprayed everthing with Tek Trol. Door knobs, sidewalks, the dogs play yards, all kennels, anything that could possibly be sprayed safely. Please read the label carefully if you plan on using it. It does have some warnings.
